Class Descriptions

Ballet

Jazzle Baby (2 Y.O)

Jazzle Pals (5-8 Y.O)

Jazzlettes (9-12 Y.O)

Ballet is the foundation for almost all dance forms. Our ballet classes teach dancers proper ballet technique, body placement, ballet fundamentals and vocabulary by utilizing a progressive ballet dance curriculum. Dancers will have written and demonstration exams throughout the season.

Tap

Jazzle Tots (3-4 Y.O)

Jazzle Pals (5-8 Y.O)

Jazzlettes (9-12 Y.O)

Tap is a dance style that involves creating rhythmic percussive sounds utilizing tap shoes. Our tap classes teach the basis of tap including vocabulary, rhythm building and musicality.

Jazz

Jazz is fun class that combine technique, terminology and movement with popular pop and R&B music to teach students classical, jazz funk and commercial jazz. Our Jazz class teaches jazz technique as well projection of dance movements and showmanship.

Musical Theatre

Musical theatre is a fantastic blend of singing, dancing and acting. Our musical theatre classes will focus on learning Broadway style choreography. There is also a focus on pantomiming and acting throughout performance in this highly energetic class.

Hip-Hop

Hip-Hop is a vibrant style of dance that includes breaking, locking, popping and other hip-hop style dance moves. Our Hip-Hop classes are high energy and free spirited classes that allow dancers to learn and find comfort in their own “swag”  style of dance.

West African

Jazzle Tots (3-4 Y.O)

Jazzle Pals (5-8 Y.O)

West African dance is high energy class that explores traditional dances from West Africa. Our West African dance class will teach beginner traditional West African dance techniques.. This class is partially accompanied by live music on traditional instruments such as the djembe and the djun-djun.

Tumbling/Acro

Acrobatics is a performing art that involves balance, coordination and agility to create slow controlled movements using the flexibility of the back, legs and shoulders.

Tumbling is the art of performing cartwheels, round-offs, back/front handsprings, front and back walkovers and other skills executed by a straight back using strength and speed.

Our acro/tumbling classes will focus on increasing flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. We develop acrobatic technique and teach handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks.

Flips and Splits
(NON-RECITAL CLASS)

Our flips & split is a beginner class that will focus on perfecting cartwheels,  backbends and splits. This is a non recital class with a drop in option. 

Flexibility
(NON-RECITAL CLASS)

Flexibility is the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an unrestricted, pain free range of motion. Our flexibility classes focus on enhancing flexibility, balance, and core strength without high-impact movements. Our curriculum incorporates stretching and core exercises, yielding improved mobility, lean muscles, a toned abdomen, robust back, and better posture.

Leaps & Turns
(NON-RECITAL CLASS)

A leap is any step that moves through the air and goes from one foot to the other. A turn is a rotation of the body around its vertical axis. Our class is a technique class designed to assist students in focusing on the leaps, jumps and turns that dancers perform in ballet and jazz.
